Paula joined Marini Pietrantoni Muñiz LLC as an associate in April 2022. She is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Her practice is focused on commercial and civil litigation, and insolvency matters. Prior to joining Marini Pietrantoni Muñiz LLC, Paula worked as an associate for several years on commercial litigation, business torts, and lender disputes at another recognized firm in Puerto Rico where she also provided counseling to clients on regulatory and business matters and conducted significant investigations in securities litigation matters.

 

After being admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, she also worked as an attorney in New York analyzing electronic discovery in complex civil cases for major U.S. law firms. She also worked for a boutique healthcare law firm as an associate in the Policy and Compliance Practice where she drafted and reviewed internal policies, rules, procedures, and contracts for leading Puerto Rico hospitals to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

 

While in law school, Paula worked as law clerk for the Office of General Counsel for the Chancellor of the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. Furthermore, she clerked at the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources in the Office of the Secretary and in the Office of Administrative Judges and Official Examiners for two summer terms. She was also Treasurer to two student associations: the National Women Law Student’s Organization and ANDA, Asociación Nacional de Derecho Ambiental.

 

She holds a B.A. from the University of Puerto Rico and obtained her Juris Doctor in 2016 from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law.
