After a five-day federal trial, MPM obtained a verdict for its client under the Puerto Rico Commercial and Industrial Trade Secrets Protection Act and for Breach of Contract. MPM’s client, a tax planning and consulting firm, filed suit against its former Managing Director for misappropriation of its trade secrets and for violation of the confidentiality provisions of the underlying agreements between the parties, among other causes of action. The Judgment awarded MPM’s client permanent injunctive relief and monetary damages. MPM’s trial lawyers were Manuel A. Pietrantoni and Valerie Blay Soler.
