Melanie Pérez Rivera
Melanie is a counsel at Marini Pietrantoni Muñiz. She is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. Also, she earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Her practice includes commercial and civil litigation. Before joining the firm, Melanie served as law clerk for Associate Judge Hon. Anabelle Rodríguez Rodríguez at the Puerto Rico Supreme Court.
She earned a B.A. in Information and Journalism with a minor in Political Sciences (Magna Cumme Laude) in 2013 from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, and obtained her Juris Doctor (Magna Cumme Laude) in 2016 from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law. While in Law School, Melanie clerked at the Puerto Rico Court of First Instance as part of one of the University's summer programs. Furthermore, she worked as an Auxiliary Editor in the University of Puerto Rico Law Journal and, afterwards, as Council Editor of Pangea, the University's International Law Publication.
